I know it won’t be popular, but I would honestly love to have a social network that’s purely just what my friends/family post. No suggested content, no algorithmic feed, no reacting to posts. Just purely whatever they post and ability

I did some work for a client who wanted to build an app for it. After that I ended up building a few apps just for fun, and once they started bringing in some ad money, I just ended up building more. I think their ecosystem is still small e

I have developed about 20 mobile apps for the KaiOS ecosystem, which does around $500-$750 a month. I also run https://monitorprices.org , which is just a list of available monitors on Amazon, but provides a bit more filters. Doe

At least for me, the worrying would never stop. Even when I send letters with clear deliverables and timelines, I would just find myself worrying and getting angry over the whole situation. The only time it stopped was after about 7 months,

I've recently dealt with this over a 8 month period, and it was mentally exhausting. I wish I would’ve just accepted the money to be lost, and let a lawyer deal with it, but instead spend 8 frustrating months trying to deal with it. In

It’s indeed a hassle if you were to mix your own CSS classes and Tailwind, but I don’t do that. Instead I use Tailwind for its design system and set of defaults. My own CSS is classic BEM style, so very component like. In hindsight I could

I’ve always had the idea of producing a CSS design system with just a bunch of preset CSS variables to use like ‘margin-left: var(—-p2);’, as it’s close to how I end up using Tailwind lately; ‘@apply ml-2;’

Same here, I have a couple of mobile apps that use Cloudflare workers + KV/D1, and it’s been great. I’m low traffic enough to be on the free tier, but would happily pay given how easy it’s been to build on.

I started using Bun by default for small personal projects. Having to set up Node, with Typescript and reloads always took the fun out of quickly prototyping something. Have yet to run Bun in production tho.

I know the LTR isn't specifically for digital nomads, but if you qualify, it's another visa to relocate to Thailand, and work legally. Just as many of the other visas, some people will be excluded due to income or degree requireme

There’s quite a few jobs in finance. But in terms of startup, or non corporate jobs, there’s very little.

The 16.5% corporate tax is definitely a benefit here, and for now it makes sense because I also live here. If I were to return back to Europe, the UK might indeed be a decent choice.

I run a business in HK, and generally it’s incredibly easy. Easy to set up, accounting is easy, ongoing fees are fairly low. So far I haven’t encountered any issue. But I’m well aware of the political issues being registered in HK might bri

Do you have a source for the growing numbers? On all accounts it seems to have plateaued, and even slightly down in the past 5 years - https://www.techrepublic.com/article/ios-vs-android-market-s...

I recently had a human at my local banks' branch (after 30 minutes of waiting) tell me I should call their phone hotline to get my issue resolved. They couldn't (or refused) to do it in person.

I believe that in the example you’ve given, you also need to demonstrate that the person who provided the services was also outside of Hong Kong. I haven’t really looked into this offshore exemption, since I’m living here as well.

I only used my account for about 2 months, because it caused a lot of confusion. Your account name was prefixed with “NEAT”, so few of my clients just ignored that and money never arrived. Switched to AirWallex and never looked back.
