I mean that we are in dire need of such tools! I also am not aware of any existing tools.

Thank you. Haven't seen this problem framed in quite this way before. I find the point quite persuasive. But, I don't understand how this step could possibly work: > start policing on what opinions those people are allowed to h

What are the most obvious use cases for Nano/Open-Claw. I can't imagine anything obvious that I'd want to use it for. Is it supposed to run your digital life for you?

In Aftonbladet comments from CGI they seem to think that no production related data has been leaked: https://www.aftonbladet.se/nyheter/a/ArvG0E/cgi-sverige-uppg...

I wonder if the focus on source code makes Swedish news slower to jump on this. I haven't seen it in domestic news yet. (Haven't looked too wide though)

I very much suspect that this depends on how you use it. You can use it to dig yourself a hole as much as building a ladder to get out. To me it always comes down to whether you focus on cultivating internal impulses that are helpful vs unh

Yes this is what I'm thinking about! The challenge here though is to prove to the user, especially without forcing the user to go into technical details, that it is indeed private and isn't giving away details. The user needs to b

I think that not doing partial-identity checks invite bot noise into conversations. We could have id checks that only check exactly what needs to be checked. Are you human? Are you an adult? And then nothing else is known.

There are better and there are really really bad ways to do ID checks. In a world that is increasingly overwhelmed by bots I don't see how we can avoid proof-of-humanity and proof-of-adulthood checks in a lot of contexts. So we should

BankID is very convenient but the lock in is ridiculous. Owned by a private company and pretty much every service that you use depends on it. You're forced to own a new Google-approved Android or iPhone to use it and to function in soc

My only objection here is that technology wont save us unless we also have a voice in how it is used. I don't think personal adaptation is enough for that. We need to adapt our ways to engage with power.

I think I see your point. I've had it in the back of my head too. Guess it's like the separation between backend and front-end. When the logic is neatly wrapped in a nice API you can potentially get a lot of reusability from that

Either that or a protocol that is as reusable as email that can facilitate a variety of identity proof and trust mechanisms.

Exactly. And I do think that a world where zkp ids are taken for granted is one where the issues they point to will be more surmountable than today.

Interesting. While that is true I don't see how it's an argument against. Over-asking + ZKP certainly seems superior to over-asking + without ZKP. Without ZKP in a world where you constantly need to identify yourself you have abso

Yeah, I mean that is definitely an additional hard nut to crack. I also think it has potential (partial) solutions. I'm thinking that there are many ways to prove identity information. You could use something like tlsnotary to prove th

I mean I can prove with a zero-knowledge-proof that have solved a Sudoku puzzle without actually giving away the solution so this seems possible?

What about Zero-Knowledge Identity? Use zero knowledge proofs to prove that I have an eID without actually providing my identity.

I believe we can solve both anonymity + proof-of-humanity using zero-knowledge proofs that act as intermediary between a trusted identity provider and the service provider. I.e. you get a digital id but you use it to generate proofs rather

Well Shadcn gives you more freedom to fix stuff like this and rewrite how you want the component to work and look, since everything lives in your own code base. In a regular component lib it would be less likely that you'd think about
