Being punished for either destroying evidence or contempt of court. Neither will be fun for you.

What's funny is when you ask that same question of a tech startup they simply say growth is what matters not revenue. CloudFlare has been losing money for ages. I use it but seemingly everyone is sure it'll last forever.

The beta environment is completely distinct from the prod one. So unless you're on the beta servers they're not related.

I don't think anyone is doubting that giving people money improves their lives. That seems to be the conclusion of these studies. However what is seemingly _never_ studied is how to finance such an operation. The money has to come out

Is this viewed as a bad thing? I suppose the person who waits slightly more might be annoyed, but would they rather their ticket cost more to avoid these line skips?

Distributed risk. Publisher's lose money on lots of content under the context of earning it on others. If somehow you could mega selectively pick it would be very expensive.

It seems that you are having some sort of an existential crisis. What's the point of doing anything if you're going to die? Why work or develop or anything? If we are all just dust in the wind why not just have the best life you c

I hear this all the time. Every 3PPT report I see is cranky if you have userid=2345 as you can enumerate it. Personally I think it's stupid but this is a tempting solution.

Who is this in reference to? What is the source? Googling for the quote you gave doesn't have great results.

The license matters if you want corp adoption. SAP as an example won't ship GPL code due to the license terms.

I've not heard it forbidden but mainly speak to your manager to ensure that things are scheduled well enough.

So you want LinkedIn to give this 3rd party website a cease and desist order? You could at best contact LinkedIn however I'm not sure they'll jump all over this.

The one place I know that is this secure, you hand the thumb-drives to security who scan them and verify the contents are of no risk before handing them back. The same on exit.

That is a hot take. So if you post asking about abortion access as a 16 year old that should have your name plastered next to it. The internet has saved many people by opening up questions you wouldn't ask your doctor.

The pricing here always confused me. I thought VPS's were supposed to be cheaper than hardware. At $50+/month you're into dedicated pricing in my mind.

Isn't this the natural order of how things go in tech? You burn millions or billions of dollars acquiring market share, then start pumping your customers for cash until they leave, or if you've done it right they can't leave.
