- I like how the alphabetical order of missing words acts as a small hint - The difficulty felt challenging yet doable - The UI looks polished - I agree with others that the word-forming UX could be improved; maybe by typing letters, or may

As someone new to backend - is there a simple alternative architecture for this project? I hope there's an easier way to host a million bits of state and sync with clients. Some of the solutions in the post went over my head. Kudos to

Appears to be a summary of this comment: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=30105274 If you zoom and pan the red cursor over that map location/text, your source comment will appear underneath the map.

Personally, I like how HN focuses on content and discussions rather than individual users. If I wanted to follow experts, I'd probably curate a selection on a social network like Mastodon, or kludge together some RSS feeds. Also, I fee

I prefer this tool: https://utopia.fyi/type/calculator It generates step size variables and a comment linking back to the web calculator filled with your values.

I don't think there's any bound to 2D visualizations. The challenge seems to be constructing symmetric or useful visualizations, which has kept people busy up to n=11 apparently: https://www.combinatorics.org/files

Imagine if this app was B2B instead of B2C, or if it pivots to B2B in the future, or if it's acquired. Imagine also future passive income with little maintenance. And his project seemed like a side project written over a few months. St

I think it's more about miscommunication than money. These licenses are just donations, so the announcement should be framed around supporting Immich voluntarily. Instead, they give 4 paragraphs of corporate speak and 2 license tiers,

Not parent commenter, but I've been trying to verbalize why it feels LLM-like. - h2 titles feel as basic as possible, just "what self-hosting, who self-hosting, why self-hosting, ..." - SEO spam often overuses keywords; on th

Another chat-like notetaking app I saw posted a while ago: https://site.ducknote.app/ That one reminds me a bit of Discord. Love the design of yours, though.

What are the different shortcuts/ways to open Notes? And do you know if these shortcuts are available for other app developers, or are they dedicated solely to Notes? Just curious

This reminded me so much of math tutoring, and so little of technology. The tutor helps immerse the student; the tutor creates a rapid feedback loop for the student to test out ideas; the tutor scaffolds problems and adjusts to the student&
