For me these are the self hosted livesync, copilot and readitlater for better web clippings. I really don't want my notes on other people's servers so the official sync will never be an option unless they enable that to be self ho

I can't do without the livesync plugin. And also copilot (connected to a locally hosted LLM of course) and readitlater.

True the default search is really good at not bringing up what I'm looking for. It's the #1 improvement point for me.

Will that new security interfere with plugin functionality though? I can't really do without some of them, in particular selfhosted-livesync. It's not even that I don't want to pay you for hosting my notes, it's that I d

Yeah it's also, for the first time in my life I'm really pivoting my personal interests away from IT and tech. This was more of a plan when I was still fully into it. I'm more interested in streaming now for my new hobbies bu

Yes I like kagi's "small web" search source a lot for this reason. However 99% of people don't use it (probably higher than that) so it doesn't really help with discoverability.

The problem with that is discoverability. I'd love to do a blog without making money off it but if nobody ever reads it there's no point.

Substack positioned itself as medium without the enshittification but it's enshittified just as much. I'll pass on it and on 'newsletters' hosted there too. It's beyond the level of annoyance I tolerate.

The price is a huge factor in the commoditisation of 3D printing. The design quality too. A 3D printer looks the part, that is important if you have it on your desk.

The maintenance needed is minimal, and Bambu make it easy to learn in their wiki. It even sends you reminders to lubricate the Z-axis (the others don't need it). I've never had a clogged nozzle on my bambu printers but that is als

The MK3S still looks like a kid's science project. The Bambu A1 is much more polished and it costs 1/3 of the price. That price alone is a huge factor in commoditisation. I never considered a prusa for that reason alone.
