I don't like how Bing takes information from the Internet, summaries it, and then provide it to me, with little footnote, in its own voice. I just don't fully trust information on the internet. I would love that Bing provide conte

It's actually a bit concerning that I am unable to find any details on the proposed Online News Act. Will HN or Wikipedia be designated as digital platforms? Are digital platforms allowed to link to non-Canadian news sources? What are

Google Reader was a publish-subscribe platform with chronological/per site newsfeed whereas Google+ was a peer-to-peer platform with an algorithm newsfeed. I didn't appreciate the difference at the time, but the philosophy was com

I stopped having a positive view of Google due to their poor explanation for shutting down Google Reader. They explained they were shutting it down due to declining usage and they are pouring all of their energy into fewer product, however,

I don't use Google Drive, but I can tell you that, for my use case, folders are useful for keeping notes, spreadsheets, and other resources for each project separate from each other. Search and Stars won't be adequate replacement

The article talks about charging the content creators. I wonder if there is also a market for charging the content consumers where they get Chronological feed or the ability to use custom clients.

I agree, WSDL were great. There was no need to keep checking the API doc because the client codes were auto-generated. If we can't have JSON Schema, perhaps we could have a large language model auto generate our client codes by ingesti

Thanks! I would argue that the drivers weren't optimized because the specification on the Spectre 1000 (Rampage) is roughly at the GeForce 2 GTS level.

I don't think we'll be seeing a move away from minimalism for the foreseeable future. The style itself will continue to evolve (hey, we just got rounded corners back!), but it'll within the confine of CSS so that no graphical

One of the issues here is that the browser is prompting the user for all the Permissions at install time. Both Android and IOS have moved away from that. Perhaps it is time browsers to move away from that as well.

What Microsoft has done here is certainly an escalation of what Google had been doing in recent years. Perhaps Google shouldn't have started being so aggressive with the popups to begin with. Yes, I think both are absolutely disgusting
