We don't really know what it's written in anymore, since the new version is closed source, but given that they had to rewrite it because of how slow it was, it's unlikely they chose Python again.

Yes, like Reddit, which had to be rewritten from scratch because they simply couldn't afford to keep throwing more servers into the fire.
