Yes. We work a lot with Microsoft and they are very hardball on "adoption". They are always pushing us to send weekly "did you know..."? emails, yammer campaigns, seminars blablah. Very American also, this does not work

ChatGPT also don't make a common mistake that Microsoft does, they don't squeeze on the compute too much. Microsoft does which makes it worse than ChatGPT even though it's literally the same engine. That keeps the GPT brand v

Google already killed the internet as we knew it. There's a reason engines like yagi have their own spider for "the small web" because google basically ignores everything but the big commercial clickbaity crap.

Then you have Copilot Chat, that's the free version. It indeed can't interact with company data unless you manually upload it. If you have a tab selector "Work / Web" at the top, you do have the paid version. Select

And clippy before that. It's a running joke since the early 2000's with all the memes. And even this hilarious music video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4taIpALfAo

This is the impression I get too and I hear it a lot from our users too. Some have provided clear examples of something prompted to their personal ChatGPT sub and the company copilot one, and yes, it is often much lower quality. As it is th

Part of the problem is that this "free" stuff is obviously not remaining free. I'm very hesitant to invest my time in it because I don't want to run it into my workflow and then be held by the balls when they make it pai

I agree. Copilot 365 has been really underwhelming to me. It was also released way too early, half the features in excel didn't even work. That will have left a bad impression on the earliest of adopters. Which are usually the biggest

This, exactly. They stop showing the highly visible annoyance. But the more insidious and lucrative datamining to sell ads everywhere else still goes on.

Ads can be done without tracking though. The main reason they're not is that Google and meta actively undermine them. They make it really difficult to buy ethical ads. The reason is of course that tracking is their moat. Nobody else ha

Not just that. If you pay Instagram to turn off the ads, they're still tracking you so they can show you targeted ads elsewhere. For me the tracking is a lot more harmful than the ads. Ads are much more noticeable but tracking is a lot

I have never been 'carded' in a bar in my life. Maybe that's a US thing. Bars here are required to make sure you're old enough but if it's obvious they don't have to card anyone.

But can you still have multiple accounts then? I do need to have that for many services. And if you can, what stops you from creating accounts and giving them to others?

This is even more Draconian because it demands that citizens rely on manufacturers. After all the government itself doesn't make phones or hardware crypto modules.

Symbian didn't use X in any way. That was Maemo, used on the 770. But there were also some Symbian-based touch devices like the 5800 XpressMusic: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nokia_5800_XpressMusic But Symbian di

True but providing a local vehicle pool might be a lot more sensible. That way vehicles are more innocuous and also meet the local requirements better. Think of the UK for example where they drive on the left. I've driven my Dutch car

It's especially concerning when you see that US drivers tend to drive huge tanks. Whereas in Europe we have a lot of tiny compact cars. And yet they still die in the US in larger numbers :O

Symbian did have some touch models in the end but they were very poor because they still used resistive touch and the UI was not well laid out for it.

They tend to get exceptions for much stuff, that makes it newsworthy. They even get exempted from criminal law. Remember Anna Sacoolas who killed a teenager in the UK and quickly got repatriated before he could be brought to court?
