Either your battery was defective or something is using all your battery. Even my 2018 Intel MacBook still lasts 3+ hours on a charge. Apple will replace the battery for $249 if you choose to. https://support.apple.com/mac-l

This was a limitation of intel CPU's at the time and required additional thunderbolt controller chips separate from the CPU.

You stated "You know you can use a standard Bluetooth and keyboard and mouse with an iPad? My wife uses her 13 inch iPad for everything - mostly Zoom, Office, everything web based" In my opinion all of that works better on a lapto

But why? A 13" MacBook Air is smaller and lighter than carrying a tablet + keyboard + mouse. And iOS is always going to be more difficult to do real work on vs MacOS.

I've just never understood this. A 13" MacBook Air would accomplish everything better for me. A laptop has a stand for the screen built into it and it's much more stable on any surface vs a tablet case + stand. Sure, it'

You can disable "Wake for Network Access" in the battery settings if you want. It's a convenience option that lets MacOS check for new iMessages and other updates while it's asleep. That way all your messages are loaded

Nvidia sold defective GPU's that affected every 2007-2008 MacBook Pro. It was a manufacturing defect and every chip was guaranteed to fail. It was a bad look for Apple that cost them millions having to replace logic boards. The defect

Considering the final PCIe 4.0 spec was released in June 2017 that seems improbable. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PCI_Express AMD didn't even support PCIe 4.0 until 2019 with Zen 2, Intel in 2020 with tiger lake.

You can order the Mac mini with 10gbps networking and it has 3 thunderbolt 4 ports if you need more. Plus it has an internal power supply making it smaller than most of these mini PCs.

9W at idle for the N100 is similar to what I get with my N100 based PC. Although under windows it's often sitting at 10-12W. I also see lower power consumption with an 8th Gen intel Core system. The small cores that the N100 use are s
