You might be interested in looking at Bitwig Studio for audio production. I've heard it's similar conceptually to Ableton Live and it runs natively on Linux. https://www.bitwig.com/en/home.html I agree that a

As others have said, over the ear wear helps a lot. Using a shirt clip to attach them to your shirt also helps. My etymotic IEMs came with such a clip. Using both of those techniques makes the microphonics go from intolerable to barely noti

The only evidence I see of Microsoft trying to make PC gaming more like console gaming is them selling games through the Microsoft Store (I think that's what it's called now) and including the Game Mode stuff in Windows 10. The va

I'd like to see those studies, if you have links to them. I've never heard of a study confirming any noticeable difference between Stradivarius violins and modern ones of the same quality.

I don't think it's accurate to call the modern violins they used "manufactured". I'm 99% sure all of the modern violins they used are handmade in a way that's not too different from the way violins were made by

Worshiping money is more a symptom of materialism than anything else. That's why people go into debt to buy things they don't need instead of saving their money. I also believe it's the cause of worshiping the uber-rich and g

It really is almost no one. 57% of Americans with less than $1000 dollars in their savings account. Only 25% with more than $10,000. What fraction of those with more than $10,000 do you think have enough to live for two years on it? https:

According to this source, only 25% of people have greater than $10,000 in a savings account. Most people are going to need much more than $10,000 to live for two years so I think it's pretty safe to say that almost no one has enough sa

You're correct, IBM is more of a monopoly in the mainframe market now than ever before. As far as I know, no one else makes mainframe hardware anymore aside from storage racks you can use with an IBM mainframe.
