Is there a way for a business to get themselves delisted from Yelp (either manually or in a robots.txt automated way)?

Is there a "Must-Have" file backup utility for Windows? I've really grown to like TimeMachine on the Mac, although I don't really need the eye candy; I just want something that dependably backs up my data to my NAS, stays in the background

At least for me, I'm not buying the novelty effect. I have two kids and everyday is not only something new for them, but it's new for me as I watch them grow and as I grapple with parenthood, all of which is filled with unique and novel ex

I wonder if this passes building codes, fire and safety regulations, much less compliance with the ADA? What happens when you have a bunch of these and interview a good developer that's in a wheelchair; pass on him because your whole team

I think the point of a camera for me would be the potential of video conferencing. With a screen that big, you could have a virtual meeting with several participants. Additionally, it would be pretty cool if you could watch the same video

The other feature that I wish was possible is connecting two google voice accounts to one phone number. At first, I thought it was going to be a great solution for our kids; have a single number we give to our school, after school classes,

If there is a simple google api, some third party / open source developer, not having to worry about the backend infrastructure required, might create a client app to do this, which would compete with dropbox to some degree.

I like the idea. I really like this site which I believe I found via a hackernews comment sometime back: http://usesthis.com/ It performs a similar function, albeit exclusive to their hardware and software setup, and a screencast and more

Of all the places I've gone, there are two places I've visited where I found the people to be remarkably friendly and happy: Costa Rica and Thailand. I'm sure part of it was that I spent time in both places on vacation, but in both, I was

I can see wanting 3-D for gaming more than home movie watching, although it's still a bit of a stretch. In any regard, if I'm going to wear "active" glasses with batteries and flashing shutters and the like, I think perhaps glasses with 2 l

It's truly a mysterious paradox that you can only innovate when under 30, but finding and funding innovation can be done at any age as long as you are over 6 feet tall, white, and male.

If Microsoft had purchased YouTube, I don't think it would have had the same low bandwidth costs that Google enjoys per that article.

I'm not sure passing on Youtube and Yahoo were bad decisions for Microsoft as stated by the article. As far as Youtube is concerned, AFAIK it still hasn't been profitable for Google and would have likely bled more red ink with Microsoft in

Games for Windows Live has been available for quite a while now but has been a dismal failure because they charged you a premium for it (as they do on Xbox 360), as opposed to other services like Steam which are all free. This seems like a

Having worked in similar environments in the early 90's on desktop software, there are some serious downsides to this approach. Basically, it can lead to having a rift between developers and QA, and in a big corporation, it can become a bur
