"Do I seem like a rational person?" Nope. Nor a rational one. While there is little more frustrating than a spreadhsheet pretending it's a database this seems like it was written by a first year IT associate who doesn't

These sorts of disputes always amaze me. Reddit wants to make a stand without taking steps to actually protect users while the film companies push forward under the false pretense that the type of people who download their product would ha

This paints heat pumps in a very rosey shade. The reason for heat pumps poor adoption is their poor performance and general inability to maintain comfortable Temps in colder climates and anywhere that weather and Temps change frequently. Th

Most of this "gouging" is at the dealership level where prices are raised above the mfg prices. Hoping the company fails just seems asinine as a response.

So, the rich pay for convenience? Shocker, even more so when their examples for 'rich' include rhe working poor. The through message though seemed to be that anyone reliant on government services will be expected to pay a price a

It would be irononic for the government to subsidize something that they've significantly contributed to increasing the cost of.

You're confusing ignorance and apathy of individuals with institutional apathy.

"squeezed on top of each other" is bad but "more dense" is good? There's a lot more to whether either of these are good than these talking points.

Speaking of tired talking points, do better... I'm sure that won't be cringe any time soon.

This article is more ideologically driven than a realistic examination of these businesses. Also, saying Google was surpassed by ChatGPT is equivalent to saying something else reliable than Wikipedia is beating them. That's nowhere nea

This comes across as histrionics based on misinterpreting the worst case predictions to drive yet more unfounded FUD.

It is a bit of a stretch to conflate the conservation and labor movements like that.

It would be disastrous in any field. When you replace metric with arbitrary quotas then you're maximizing the odds for a suboptimal outcome. People conflate social and individual trends with structural restrictions. The best we can do

This again assumes the owner isn't ignorant of the requirement or apathetic to it. Corpo6entities tend to be apathetic while most private owners are simply stupid.

This comment relies on the original owners not being either stupid or apathetic. I've bought many second hand devices over the years, from actual owners, who had no idea how to properly reset them.
