I am starting an MS in CS program in the fall (not at GT) and I just have a BA. They let me in, however I have to take a full academic year of remedial courses first[1]. I would imagine they will do something like that. [1]Calculus 1 and 2,

It's not egotistical, but you could call it selfish. He wants to cure himself. Steve Jobs was on a similar quest to cure cancer - because he didn't want to die. Larry wants to speak normally again. Behind many non-profits and causes there w

The 'tech founders' are likely to be responding to see what happens next, because their intrigued by the idea - not because 'they've been personally touched'. Source: I reply to all of these for exactly that reason.

Then maybe you shouldn't say things like this? "Think your B2B startup shouldn’t be expected to ever have meaningful web traffic? Twilio is #13,158 in global web traffic and Zendesk is #650, so don’t even try that line on me." P.S. I remain

More examples: http://www.csc.com/ Alexa 30,000 - Market Cap $7.1 Billion https://www.saic.com/ Alexa 43,000 - Market Cap $5 Billion And just a random one I've used that I knew would have a high Alexa given how their service works: htt

I think you're referring to Zendesk. Insofar as Alexa's rankings are accurate (they aren't, but that's another matter) then Zendesk.com is indeed the 650th highest trafficked site on the internet and they are clearly getting a lot of usage.

Again with the Alexa-worshipping. Twilio's rank is really low for a company with that much name recognition/revenue/employees/valuation etc and is actually great evidence that Alexa is a terrible indicator of B2B success. And Zendesk's numb

Hey Saurik - don't take the hating so personally man. Google gave you Glass precisely because they knew you'd rock the boat and piss a bunch of people off (and get people talking about Glass in the process). You're doing a wonderful job of

It's the innovators dilemma. Very difficult to support a new technology that threatens your billions in revenue and profit. They're surely only getting involved in the e-cig market for defensive reasons. I could certainly see them lobbying

When I saw the title I assumed it was Valve. Interesting that it's also a gaming company. There must be something about this kind of corporate structure and gaming that go really well together.

Slipped my mind that you went to Github. Definitely looks a lot like Bootstrap as well. Though if it wasn't inspired by Dropbox, there are nevertheless some strong similarities. Namely the signup form, footer and the call to action for the

You can try making that argument to the folks who handle zoning for the City of San Francisco. Seems unlikely that will persuade them to let you demolish half the city, but it's worth a shot I guess.
