I did an 83b when stock options were granted since I was a very early employee. Paid $30 for 30,000 shares, which then went through a 10-to-1 split, so I had 300,000 shares. But, in the end, we went bankrupt and I received nothing. Wasn

I believe in being careful with words, for sure, but having to modify and monitor every piece of publicly accessible content because it may be triggering or aggressive is just too much. I feel like I must mention that I am a left-wing, ve

I think this is often what Gary Vee is misjudged on. I've listened to more than a few of his talks, read his books, and find his message is that you should throw your all in, if that's what you want . If you want to have your Sat

I switched because I've done a lot of WordPress development over the years and I wanted to learn something else. Liking it better is because it's a far simpler set-up for me: no database, write in the terminal, don't have to

What a lovely comment to read. Thank you! Netlify has taken the pain of maintaining a server away.

You know, I've been using the Bitbucket & Netlify ecosystem for my Wild Mind[1] website for a little over a year. I moved from a self-install of WordPress on Digital Ocean to the Victor Hugo[2] boilerplate and then used my own them

Does this not imply that your "way" is the "correct way"? As frustrating as teams, peers, and different stakeholders are, they make the thing we are building better. Yes, group think doesn't produce the best results

I like your site design (and the most recent article), particularly the side/margin notes. I had done a similar thing on a previous incarnation of my own site but eventually decided to keep them in the footnotes section so that the foc

I also work in Boston and have done so since 2010. My experience has been the same as yours. A little over 15 years of experience, worked at a fairly well-known Boston startup, now in a VP level at a digital agency and I was also shocked at

Personally, I do hope you are right and that the direction this country is moving toward a more egalitarian society where a pre-existing condition doesn't mean a death sentence and that we have social programs in place in order to supp

I have also found this to be the case too. Most people would rather have a GUI before even touching the command line. Most notably is Git; every single one of my developers use Sourcetree and if I have to help them with something, I always

I read this article and saw only a wistful look back at the past, contrasting with her life now. I didn't detect any sort of sadness. I read her coming to the realization that she's happy as she is, a single woman in her forties.

I do have the Developer Edition. It may not be officially supported but everything works out of the box. I've got a personal IdeaPad laptop from years ago that has a worse configuration but doesn't freeze like this Dell.

I have a 2017 13" XPS running Solus Linux. I have come to abhor this machine. I can't tell you the amount of times I've had to reboot the computer due to frozen or halting apps. I only have 8GB of RAM so that might be it but

I think the reason why Facebook is used is due to the ease of setup and management of the group. Rather than installing forum software, paying for hosting, etc., it's just easier to use Facebook Groups. And, as adrianratnapala wrote, I
