A little surprised that the stock market should fall down so much. After all, how many phones actually run on Android. If this was an iPhone app, that would have meant a lot more "danger" for the GPS manufacturers.

I don't use them a lot too. But I suppose companies like Amazon, Barnes & Nobles probably require a lot of transaction support (otherwise their shopping carts could get really messy).

I've used Arachnophilia. Its a great editor. Was one of the first source code editors when I started moving away from the basic M$ editors :)

In my opinion, information can never be retrieved from a single source. It always pieced together from different sources by the person with a task at hand. Google is a tool which can let you jump to different pages quickly and let you devel

C++ is definitely not a terrible language. It was one of the first OO programming mostly widely adopted (though today there are far better ways of doing OO with other programming languages). The problem with higher level languages is their

That's an interesting idea. Maybe we could use some interesting automatic means to "cluster" information from these new technology areas. Suppose a system allowed someone to create a new technology area by defining all the entities involved

Well, if the semantic web dream comes true, all someone would have to do is create a SPARQL query and run it against the web to obtain the dataset.

I don't think Twitter had anything to do with the peace protests in Iran. Its a real time communication mechanism which enables people to do things. And also a very noisy one.

The arguments about language efficiency on a single processor machine are probably outdated today. Most machines have multiple cores. We need good tools which can exploit this CPU architecture. Languages like C/C++ place a large amount of r
