You have a typo: "Applicaions". Usually not a problem but in this case it will say "No file/folder found" when it's just a typo.

By far my favorite VLC feature is when it picks subtitles automatically when they are named the same as the original video file. :)

Well, technically (or even theoretically I'd venture), empty space is the best MVP of all time. :p It required no code (baring any metaphysical interpretations of the term) and it still functional to this day. :p

Has anyone wondered how similar in spirit React is to the way html and js were originally meant to be written (with embedded callbacks, e.g. `<a href=bla onClick='myfynction>`)? Isn't the `a` in some sense a React component

Very surprised that you can't buy stuff with your US card. I do just that; i.e. I'm in Germany, and I buy things off of Amazon.de with my US card.

Gemsets are redundant when you use Bundler. Your second question will boil down to opinion but Bundler has been extremely solid in my experience. The feature set is huge and the work ethic of the core team is commendable.

`gs` is also GhostScript. I had a really amusing afternoon when the two commands were at war with each other. The funny part was that my app was actually using GhostScript extensively.

Every time I see a sentiment like this (with which I agree completely), I am reminded of this fascinating essay by Bertrand Russell on the virtues of idleness. [1] [1] http://www.zpub.com/notes/idle.html

I am really not sure this is true. In my opinion classes force an premature taxonomy almost all the time. I like that you can simply attach methods to structs when you decide you want object like behavior.

You can also put things in the public folder. No idea why you'd do it though. Perhaps you store your Dropbox password itself in 1Password and therefore you don't have access to it when you are away from your devices, hence the nee
