Do you feel the same with food that is both sugar and fiber, such as fruits? My understanding is that the fiber slows down the metabolism, and thus the sugar is processed much slower.

I think both you and the parent post are correct. I heard similar advice playing soccer: when you drink water during a game, what you usually do is drink it fast (and in a hand wavy way where the bottle is in the air). So the speed allows f

Wonderful. Also note that psql can store settings in `~/.psqlrc`, so you can set settings there that survive sessions. For instance, in that file, you can have: ``` -- Extended display when it makes sense. \x auto -- Always time. \timi

I think you are correct. I do everything personal in org-mode, but I switch to manual if the doc ends up being shared. Heck, I even elect to use google doc if I have at least one collaborator.

I think this definition of success can be quite entrapping. Certainly, the pool of outstanding developers that do not fit these criteria is huge (in fact, the absolute dominant one, considering how narrow the definition is). As such, if you

I didn't look into this one yet besides the home page, but I always thought Postgres would make a killer backend for ActiveJob, leveraging advisory locks for synchronizing jobs and such. Resque is Redis backed, but if you don't wa

Note that AR's `explain` actually runs the query (effectively an explain analyze). This might or might not matter depends on what you are trying to achieve.

The logic is not poor at all, for quite mundane reasons. Giving up water will kill you, while giving up caffeine for enough time means it is no longer needed (and it is also, quite obviously, not needed for people who don't drink it al
