A car with a mini-fridge would probably do quite well for anyone who takes roadtrips or frequently goes grocery shopping.

Asana is fantastic software. I've been using it for several months now, and the interface is really, really smooth. I like that it feels like an evolving todo list, whereas most apps focus on archival and bug tracking.

I'm interested to see what direction they head with these one-time-cost plans. If you like BaseCamp and would derive any value from it, $25 is a really good deal -- I don't see "free" as being all that much more attractive.

That's a good point; on Meetup's scale, they probably deal with a large amount of similar disputes. It's still a shame that they don't make exceptions for cases like this.

It's really frustrating - it's nearly impossible to connect with people you aren't already friends with, since people rarely check the "other" folder.

Can you define "workers"? How much are you paying them? What's the total monthly overhead? Can you reliably predict next year's revenue, or is it just a back-of-the-napkin estimate? Do you need to hire more "workers" as the site grows? How

Are there any good hosting control panels at all right now? Like others have said, cPanel's interface is extremely mediocre, Plesk has turned into a total mess after Parallels acquired it, H-Sphere was equally confusing before the acquisiti

I absolutely wouldn't pay for more than ~5 years of service at any given time. That said, a model like NearlyFreeSpeech.net would make a lot of sense -- pay-as-you-go out of a fund that you keep putting money into.

I'm on the same page regarding ORMs/DAOs. It's quick enough to throw some handcrafted SQL in the model or to write up a handful of stored procs.
