Yes, government is based on physical power ultimately, and it only works because enough people agree over the basic rules of how it should work (which is supposedly embodied in the constitution). When enough people (esp. it those people are

No, there are tons of regular office computers and even home computers that run XP. Industrial computers in China would actually be running fairly up to date OS's compared to, say, US.

Congrats! Hopefully single-sales days will soon be commonplace. However, be prepared for droughts as well -- I sell at app that sells 2-3+ copies per day on average, but sometimes I go 2 weeks without a sale and some times I get 20 in a day

Ok, then convince me. Write 'software' of, say, the proof of the the dominated convergence theorem or something else reasonably advanced and let's compare it to the proof in conventional math notation.

Programming != proofs, or in general communicating abstract mathematical ideas. Writing mathematics is nothing like writing software.

Oh, are we writing blog posts to answer questions no one asked? I have a few more ideas then: - Are state unemployment agencies using Nim in 2020? - Are aircraft carriers using Ruby on Rails in 2020? - Are hospital bed firmwares using Excel

I don't know why you are so pessimistic, they are going to pay our standard annual fee once out of beta. It would not benefit them to spent so much time helping us develop things to their spec and not be able to use it.

Thanks for your response. Yes, I didn't really want to be thinking about complicating the legal structure this early. We've made it clear to them that our complete ownership of the IP is non-negotiable, and they haven't chall
