I LOVE Foundation. One of the big bonuses is SASS (not that LESS is awful, mind you.) Speaking of buttons, have you played with this project: http://jaredhardy.com/sassy-buttons/ Or do you know other button projects or style elements that

Good for them! I'm happy for all their engineers, designers and people. That's how you stay relevant or at least carve out some value from a dying tech business.

This is one of the reasons I went into math and software. In math there is only black and white, provably true and patently wrong. Still, part of the reason this is so is that to show any results everything must be laid on the table. CS and

I hate to say it but what does anything an MBA teaches have to do with being a good leader? Leadership can't be taught, it has to be learned. Those business analysis skills are just that, business analysis. I think the largest problems revo

Exactly. ETFs, Index Funds, etc. Besides, how did they get 2/3 anyways? If I make 7% and 2% goes to someone else, I'm still left with 5%. 5% > 2%. So how does that 2% translate into 66.7%?

NYC listed 1 job for C, 1 job for Ruby and 1 job for Python. Evidently people aren't tweeting jobs on Twitter in NYC?

Really? That has to be the most "sexy" job out of all of them. Anyone, and I do mean that, can build an app that runs off of 1-4 boxes and a single DB instance. Not many people can build a system that scales to 100+ boxes and a DB that span

Yeah, I lol'd at that. We actually made this joke at a meetup once: "Hi, we're a social network for people that like to share photos of their pets." Guess the joke's on us (or their investors whomever they may be.) Good luck to them if they

Ditto, just sent an email asking about this. There's a number of industries which frown upon allowing any sort of code or production data to be sent to a 3rd party host.

I have got to do a fork/pull before then in my infinite spare time but a quick question, why only ORM? Excuse my ignorance but there are almost no ORM that I've used which are not materially slower than straight SQL or json, the exception b

Wow, these interactive charts are great. Can't wait to pay for something like this unless there's already wonderfully interactive charting libraries out there like nvd3 ( http://nvd3.org/ ), dc ( http://nickqizhu.github.io/dc.js/ ) crossfil

Is it against the rules to use different workers for Django or Flask? In other words, there's a big difference when I run things with Gunicorn+Gevent+psychopg (PostGres async driver) than when I run it just with Gunicorn alone.

As one of the colleagues of the author of this library, I can give my semi-biased opinion. To be honest, having worked in a previous life with Numpy+SciPy, the appearance of Saddle in our tech stack made the reasoning of complex numerical c

Never heard of my postmark. You'd think with elasticinbox + someone routing emails for you you'd be done but then who would handle spam? Email is two way, can't wait till I see a Sagas solution to that (probably blind to what's out there.)

We allow potential employees to ask questions during interviews. Almost everything is open for ask. I don't understand why anyone would want to work at a company which wasn't like this. Then again, there's lots of people who work at terribl

As much as I love MongoDB it has way too many issues to use it as a primary data store for financial transactions. I hope they backed up and tested their backup recovery. Something tells me they're dealing with a data corruption/loss which

Very well done. Without looking at the docs (sorry) can you import existing css files and full-on frameworks? That's the #1 thing I'd be looking to use. jsFiddle is great but the window is so tiny... Webflow CSS looks even better.

I hate to break it to you but "n" is not final. Hence, you can reassign any BigInteger to it. Why not just set n = 9 and the root = 3... Immutability is your friend. Use it or lose it.

wtf is this? No one will get money from this. Last time I checked I got a .06 payout from some company that supposedly defrauded me of over $60. Quite a payout. Lawyers took 30% right off the top. Hmm.. maybe someone will make money.
