As a EU citizen how do you deal with larger unemployment, most especially seen in sub 30 yo unemployment rates of 10%+? Better mobility and ability to create and destroy has costs and benefits.

30M jobs “lost” in a forced moratorium. They will be gained back when the shenanigans passes with this flu. Not like people will stop drinking, going to activities, spending money and become monks after a couple weeks.

Can anyone who isn't part of the über elite in tech actually provide a point of view on this? It is very easy for the well-off to always comment with "Not paid enough and so i always add a 25% tip on top". Let's get this

It’s true of everyone given 150 years. Sure, but an 85 yo with 3 diseases was on the front of the queue. We need to test for those who had it and didn’t die. All evidence is pointing at orders of magnitude that had it but didn’t show

Can anyone actually tell me what was the cause of death if an 85 yo already had 3 diseases prior to this virus? If a person has a terminal disease and has N months to live, but dies sooner from a car accident, the net deaths did not increas

As a veteran myself, I’d much rather any sort of money went into something that isn’t the disease of the day. Kind of find it hard to believe out of all the things one could do to help veterans in Alaska, this is the one thing he wants to d

A detailed break down by age. Then bonus points would be a column showing the mortality rate of a person in that country. For instance an 80 yo in the US has a 6% mortality.

They are market makers not those battling the swings at the micro second scale. Yaron Minsky replied this in some random video I saw a random night, though I cannot recall which. So their edge isn’t based on speed. They gain more from corre

I don't understand how the whole age thing doesn't make you think for a second your conclusion is a bit misguided. Can you elaborate how you think a population of average age ~60 handles any disease? For reference, a 70 yo has a

Now imagine a population that was averaged in the 30's years. What do you imagine the death rate to be then? it wouldn't be half, as it scales non linearly the younger the person gets.
