The Nokia website only states 2 years of OS updates - so its e-waste from the beginning. What a joke *EDIT: And 3 years of security updates

Well I like the features it can have connected to my local network like clean specific rooms or setting no-go zones but this should be done local only. Syncing settings from my phone app to the cloud back to the robot is so dumb...

I love the idea of robot vacuums. In fact I own one. In my opinion one of the most useful "smart home" device currently made. Too bad the good ones are all tied to some shitty cloud (whilst they could work locally 100%). Fortunat

Also I don't get why GitHub is fitting as a hoster? Because of git and the commit history? Definitely not because of their strong believes in privacy as a company owned by microsoft...

Pretty crazy that a country can just completely block all internet outside of what they want to be accessible... One app that came to my mind reading this is Briar [1] - no real internet required, can connect to other briar participants vi

I'll just update to 12.6.1 for now and wait... Seems like there's nothing new exciting enough for me to upgrade right away - I want stability on my machine.

For me there’s an export option under „Settings“ ->„iCloud“ ? Or do you mean something different?

That's what I use as well. Nice apps, fair pricing (One-time payment) and no data collection. Started using it only because of its feature to sync between devices with iCloud - so no more stress if my phone breaks.

I‘ve rooted my LG tv with this method a few months ago and have no issues. Everything works just fine including 4K Netflix/Prime/Disney. I like the homebrew apps and the fact that this jailbreak somewhat limits the data my tv send

That’s true for ads from youtube (I have yt premium myself) but not for ads directly in the video. The yt app from the homebrew store has sponsorblock[1] integrated which can skip these too. [1] https://github.com/ajayyy&#x

Same for me. This thing is so awesome. I really hope it stays like that for a few years and doesn't slow down with future updates. The only thing missing for me: Multiple Monitor support.

Always thought Meta would absolutely do something creepy like this. Just ditched my app for the web app - bonus feature: No more ads (if you have a safari adblocker installed)

Yes I know but that's what the parent comment(s) are about? Using a profile for DNS settings instead of a fake VPN because you can't run more than one active VPN at a time.

In addition to running a VPN? That's what the main comment was about, wasn't it? The profiles alone do work.

Is this really true? Because on macOS exactly this "workaround" does not work: https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdGuardDNS/issues/214

This is particularly unlucky for macOS if you want to use a application-firewall like "Little Snitch" - since Apple removed kernelextensions on macOS (which LittleSnitch and others used before) they now have to also fake a VPN. Be
