Interesting that you consider the incubator to be less focused on money. They are extremely rich, of course they have better PR. They are and have been stealing the future from the public and giving it to the 1%(accredited investors).

Except they don't have to delete information. They can try any trick that will work and aren't limited to what the users provide. Data is power. The rule setters change the rules to favor themselves, as they always do.

Think of the quality of life that could be achieved if we take all the money from the drug cartels and use it to feed and shelter the homeless of the world. It's a nice sentiment about an idealistic world but ultimately meaningless bey

Lets not forget how the rich have gated out the young intelligent from early markets, where 1000xs happen, through the corrupt SEC's accredited investor regulation. This ensures that rich can keep shotgunning into YC batches and be su

What doesn't make sense? They would rather have sole access to all the data even at the expense of having to build their own tools. It's not the first or the last attempt of government taking power through 'protection'

They want to create magic with regulation like gdpr that removes the ability for other organizations to have as much data. NSA-types are trying to appoint themselves as the only people able to massively collect data with no opt out.

The problem is that there is good money and bad money that looks identical. The only way to tell the difference is to get arrested, have your business shut down, or lose access to all financial services. And why is there 'bad' mo

UBI might be able to happen on a blockchain by taking a percentage of the rewards and sharing it. One problem facing such a system would be sybil attacks. POS systems avoid this by weighting in regards to coin ownership, but in a UBI chain

Yes I've heard this line of reasoning before. It's the crabs in a bucket mentality. A child starving in Africa must mean you aren't hungry. The truth is the difference is that I'm an engineer. If I was a machine shop wo

Alarm clocks are evil. The working conditions for engineers are pretty dumb in a lot of places. Force engineers to come in by 8-9am in order to have a 'scrum'/paycheck validation meeting. Sit around tired most of the day a

None of this is new information, just another FB hit piece - likely paid. I'm sick of people trashing facebook when they can only wish for the data collection ability of the NSA. Oh, and there's no opt out there.

You are twisting my words. I'm saying there's a significant amount of intelligent people who can think for themselves in other situations that refuse to seriously look at cryptocurrency and have a knee-jerk reaction instead.
