Anyone and everyone who has bought any stocks into the circular Ponzi pyramid has this knee jerk response to rationalise LLM failure modes. They want to believe that statistical distribution of meaningless tokens is real cognition of machi

I use these models myself. Day in and out. But I'm not impressed by their capabilities or quality. I'm only impressed by the speed. So would be every engineer out there that you're referring to. None of them probably is incap

If you marvel at the output of generative AI be it pictures, logo, music, 3D models, prose or code - you probably are yourself way too under-skilled to be gainfully employed or not yourself capable of generating similar or better output. Co

Sounds like blockchain all over. Reminds me of an essay from two product managers in AWS that talked to clients all over US and couldn't get any business to clearly articulate why they need blockchain. Note: AWS has a hosted blockchain

You did not misunderstand anything. Sure, LLMs have no cognitive abilities. So even with widely used languages, they do hit the wall and need lots of hand holding.

Every company in Europe would have some origin story and some stronghold and that's nature. I see OVH being used in Germany despite Hetzner being in place and I am sure Hetzner is being used by French market as well.
