Well, affiliate programs are known to under report. Plus, some international visitors might not apply for the offer and so on. It would have been better to have a separate click counter in between.

Seems they had no security at all (just a random 5 character hash).. Reddit users are seemingly busy sharing nsfw pictures and linking them to facebook accounts, will probably result in a couple of suicides when all is said and done :(

In the typical case such a device is really only useful in the first month or two. After that all optimizations have been done. So I think that this monthly subscription model is a bit flawed in that regard. I'm probably wrong..
