When I saw font awesome, I did not think about how to use it with a bootstrap theme. I saw it as a totally separate entity completely. To be honest Font Awesome was more impressive to me and potentially have much further usage beyond just

I agree, absolutely brilliant idea. You've essentially solved monochromatic image scaling in the web. I can't wait until genre-specific fonticons come out.

Eh, correct, but you still pass unnecessary headers each time as part of the payload. It would even up the speed theoretically, but it's still a request reply model that demands a response, and you really don't need that for pub/sub for ex

You just have to think lower level. There's the CPU to figure out what to draw, then there's the CPU (or GPU if using webgl) to actually draw what it figured out. More screen space increases rendering time b/c now you are drawing potentia

Personally, I have a scraper service, web app server cluster, stream server cluster, mobile service, and a data access layer in my setup. They all communicate with each other, but in very different ways. The scraper for example uses fire an

I will put them up. In theory it should be faster than something like DNode or anything that uses DNode (hook.io) because it doesn't have the TCP tear down from using HTTP to carry what is probably small payloads most of the time. Right no

It's a very good point. I plan to add automatic discovery where every speaker and listener maintains a current list of the communication topography. I figure I'll use this space to explain "why" messenger.js even exists. One reason I wrote

It's basically as advertised, RoR for Node.js. This means it has an ORM, has scaffolding, etc. Looks like it takes advantage of express.js and is an abstraction over it. Personally, this was how I was creating sites 3 years ago. I made m

Could you give a brief code example how monads eliminates the problem of error handling? Do you mean to put try catch in the monad around every async step it takes in? Just the API for how this would even look would be great.

If you have callback hell in your code, it's not because the problem hasn't been solved, but simply that you didn't put the effort to npm install a simple library. I agree that it is a problem if neglected, but most people don't allow it to

I'd caution against any "I'd go further to say" statements. Either you know because you've tried, or you don't and are simply guessing. As someone who has made an MVC framework in Node.js and launched a production site using that framework
