I had exactly the same experience. Owned 1-gen UP - total fail, the product was not ready for the market. Owned 3 1-gen Fuelbands. All of them broke down at some point. The problem I see with activity trackers is that they collect your data

That's what I was thinking. Considering Russian, Chinese and Indian people, who consistently faced with getting multiple visas, demand will be massive. EU passport also allows you to go to UK and US(much easier comparing RU/CH
