There is also an answer for that: do not build large system. Split them into largely independant parts (I think this is called silo architecture). When one of your silos get outdated, you replace it.

Very difficult to read if you do not understand German. The German text is clearly written, but The google translation is awful. Is it a plot of Google to convince people to learn foreign languages ?

Your sentence is perfectly correct, but its translation in french (by google translate) is far from perfect. The translation toward english is generally not so bad, but for me, google translate is still very poor.

I do not understand the hype around clojure. I think functional programming languages have mainly evolved to introduce stronger typing and to remove the parenthesis. I wish a great future to scala (and haskell). For me, clojure is outdated.

When working in a team, human code formatting can cost a lot of time. The rule is generally to have an auto code formatter that runs when we do a commit. The choice of formatting rules is made collectively and can be discussed. The usage of

I fully agree. I just want a desktop that stays out of the way. I have ubuntu and I have replaced unity by cinnamon. It is not very polished, but in a couple of minute, you can configure it to be usable.

Haskell is for native application, it can use C libraries. Scala runs on java VM and can use any java library. It is slightly less concise than haskell. Like haskell, it has very clean theoretic foundations. It benefits also from a good fra
