That is the usual commercial bullshit, but when you have a recent computer bought with windows 7 that can not upgrade to windows 8, you understand your pain.

I have finished my studies in 1993. I have seen all the innovation between 1982 and 1990 (Commodore, Amstrad, Oric, ZX, Turbo Pascal, ...) and how Bill Gates has killed software I was using (Stacker, dr dos, gem, ...). I think he has contri

I have contributed to a git project on bitbucket where the process was well explained (enough for a git beginner): https://bitbucket.org/LukasKnuth/backslide/src/5313b2c63a3da... Bitbucket is often slower tha

One day, MSFT will become a bad long-term investment. Selling regurlarly is a good way to disengage without triggering any panic among shareholders. I do not like the man, but Bill Gates has always been very clever for business. BTW, I wish

I think the main difficulty in migration from windows XP to linux is leaving word, excel, outlook, ie and powerpoint. If users have already migrated to open alternatives (libre office, ...), the OS switch is almost transparent.

We do not have the full story. Maybe 36M$ is very cheap for these 900 patents and IBM was very kind. We will probably not know before many years.

The minor cuts and bruises is not the strong point of the French system. The solidarity principle applies mainly for serious diseases, like the example of the article. I think US system is superior for tooth care.
