The only way this will get fixed is if a script is written to take advantage of the vulnerabilities and clean the sites affected.

AFAIK you should look into the "built on:" line. If the date is: Tue Mar 17 21:30:08 UTC 2015, then the the package is already updated.

Most of Digital Ocean droplets have their IP blocked. I spent several hours last week configuring a mail server only to find out my email were being rejected from hotmail and godaddy.

From what I can see, you can't make a usable app from this. I would prefer to use flask or pylons for developing an app.
