reddit is down, circleci is down, our own AWS infra seems to still be up across all regions (at least the ones we deploy to), jira and slack are working, downdetector reportings lots of outages all over...definitely a perplexing mass outage

Am I the only one that isn't incentivized by referral bonuses? The last thing I want is the blame for a bad hire because I somehow referred someone ended up not being a good fit for whatever reason.

Did ChatGPT write the entire thing or was it edited afterward. If I have trouble putting things into words myself but I prompt an AI to write an empathatic email and then tweak it a little bit, what's wrong with that? Would you rathe

"chatgpt helps me sound more empathatic in my correspondance" The only reason this is a story is a handful of overly sensitive and loud people saw the disclaimer. Do people get upset when someone uses grammer and spelling checks

Or maybe they shouldn’t insert the “citation” that they used ChatGPT to help edit their correspondence. Ignorance is bliss. This story is a huge nothingburger and the Dean did nothing wrong.

ChatGPT doesn’t insert itself as a citation, it was added deliberately. For what reason is the question…I don’t say I use spellcheck when I write something with Word.

Maybe they can do something about the endless crypto scams about "elon musk projects" that use (really lousy) deep fakes and the same script across dozens of different advertising accounts. Doubt they will though.
