My issue with this approach is that you have to commit/push changes to "test". If you have to run your code on the grid to validate what you wrote, that will likely force you to commit not-working code.

Using docker force you to declare step by step what you need to build/use your code. If you combine that with good CI/CD, that easier to provides help to the junior developer if you can quickly reproduce the environment. I had a b

It's simpler in the sense that journalctl already provides some filter options that you no longer need to build yourself. There are a lot of people that use OS with systemd, but only a small part know about journalctl. I took this oppo

"Visdom" [0] isn't well know, but it's powerful and easy to use. You can even centralize remote multiple experiments in the same dashboard. Very useful for following in real-time what is happening to your networks. [0] -

Unlike IDF, the army is only mandatory for men in Switzerland. A lot of men are also doing alternative services (civil service or civil protection) instead of the army. In 2008 [0], only ~65% of men was declared fit for the military during

For in-house, python-only project, my way to go is to create a "config.py". Then I declare a bunch of module variables that can be overridden by environment variables as a bonus.
