I know it is feasible, but yet another thing to get in the way of me as a single developer trying to actually provide value to my customers. Who knows how many other countries I could be violating tax laws in.

Well, if I choose to visit the EU in the future, I presume I could face issues related to tax avoidance?

I wish it was that simple, but everywhere I look for advice, I get told the opposite: http://www.aicpa.org/publications/taxadviser/2013/june/pages... http://www.taxamo.com/digital-eu-vat-

I looked into them when I first started trying to figure this all out. They take a big chunk of money (9%), and would require a bunch of new custom integration. I would end up making less money, or having to raise prices, and still having t

The issue is that I am now subject to collecting taxes for a country that I have nothing to do with. I have never set foot in an EU country, I don't choose to sell to EU customers, they just come to my US-based website and pay in USD.

As someone who sells digital software licenses, this is quite an baffling situation to experience. Currently, I live in Massachusetts, which does not require collecting sales tax on digital goods. According to these new laws, even though I

According to my understanding, these new VAT rules mean that startups in any country will now have to collect VAT for digital goods and make quarterly filings with one of the MOSS setups - UK, Ireland, etc.

While all of the changes look nice in terms of writing less code, they are the kind of syntactic sugar I learned to hate in CoffeeScript. Mostly because the code was so much denser and harder to read. Especially when reading other people&#x

I believe that vnd. mimetypes do need to be registered. If you don't want to register, I think it would be video/x-gifv+mp4. http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2045#page-13

Am I misunderstanding something here? I don't see anything other than an .mp4 video served via a <video> tag from a URL that ends in .gifv. I was interested in seeing how it worked to look into supporting it for a mime type detec

Where do you see an option for an EV at $27.85 on that site? I'm seeing prices that start at $110 a year for 2 years. https://www.gogetssl.com/extended-validation/

I run a Dell 31.5" 4k and find it a perfect fit with the rMBP running at the (effective) 1920x1200 resolution. The Dell runs around 140ppi and the effective ppi of the rMBP is around 140 also. I find it to be an excellent combination.

While I do lots of web work, the majority of my work with Python is as a scripting language embedded in a cross-platform app (Sublime Text). There are easily hundreds of thousands of developers who use that work on a daily basis. The Window

I concur. I've found Windows support in the Python community to be pretty good. The Ruby community seems to have more of a focus on posix platforms.

I would not be surprised if you can construct contrived examples of how Python 3 can be broken. In my experience, writing real life code, I ship more stable software writing in Python 3 than Python 2. I mostly work with subprocesses or dire
