Amusingly, there's one real PSR-60 that someone abandoned in the trash shed in my residence. It's been there for a week, I think I'll grab it and see if something still works in there.

I don't think so. Most vehicles have virtually no braking power with the engine off. It's definitely completely forbidden in France to tow with a rope, and I'm pretty sure this applies to all or at least most of UE too. In Ge

It can happen at smaller scale in small companies, too. In my first serious job, when the CEO left after a merge his assistant/secretary was left behind but with nothing to do, and was forgotten. At some point someone realised that she

Yeah, and they didn't do much to reduce their CO2 emissions. They even brought a new pipeline online (NordStream2) to get more gas (because sometimes there's no sun or no wind). What counts for climate is absolute emissions, you k

Renewable can't provide energy on demand. They work only as long as you have an equivalent alternate source for times with no wind or no sun. A grid running 100% on renewables isn't physically feasible, or at a prohibitively expen

Nuclear is vastly more efficient than wind and solar, requiring much less copper, concrete, and ground space for the same amount of available energy. Plus this is entirely controllable production, requiring only minimal hydro power for prod

A couple of tools that may be useful: Macs use a different UTF8 encoding for file names, that causes all sort of weirdness when sharing files with Linux / Windows machines, so I've made a tool to convert these: https://

The 1TB Barracuda ES.2 was hardly better. Around 2009-2010, I've set up 3000 of them. 1800 had to be replaced under warranty. After that we switched to HGST and never looked back. For the thousands of Helium HGST/WD drives I'

Stay alert, then. Software patents went close to become real in 2002, and come back regularly since then, pushed by a variety of lobbies and particularly large US software houses (Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, IBM and friends). So far they'
