I'm not anti-pot whatsoever and would absolutely switch from booze to weed if given a chance but isn't it flat out wrong to say "little to no long term harm"? I'm not arguing that it's better than alcohol or xy

In my niche commercial industry almost all software is server-side software. Only now is everyone moving to the cloud - mostly as a way to collect data and generate some recurring revenue. So small businesses with a few devs now need to e

I doubt that. I'm somewhat familiar with AWS offerings and have used S3 for years. Actually creating a scalable SAAS offering correctly (emphasis on "correctly") is still a daunting task. Sure, I just created a CodeStar pro

I mean, I get what you're trying to say but in no way does a paid subscription "promise" they'll be around any longer than if they were free. Sometimes transitioning from free to paid can backfire and actually shorten t

I get it. Everyone, everywhere, is collecting data - whether it's CNN.com or Noiszy.com or Google Analytics. While you may be using Google Analytics for basic tracking of anonymous visitors, Google may be using it for "creepy ta

There are tasks that can be completed quicker with web frameworks and tasks that can be completed quicker without them. They aren't a solution for every task. I'm not sure why people struggle so much and fight abstractions so muc

You don't have to do anything to prepare. You don't have to move preemptively or worry about food production. Climate change is not a 80 year apocalyptic concern, you will be long gone before the dire consequences are reached.

Why wouldn't you compare games aimed at to similar audiences? And that analogy is pretty weak, I'd say Zelda is aimed at kids to adults, Witcher 3 aimed at teens to adults. I'd say it's more similar to Harry Potter vs.

I don't get the snark - what's the glaring problem with the format? I work with sensor data at my job and very rarely is it uniformly distributed so we use a similar format.
