I consider myself extremely unlucky with laptops but even mine last 2+ years. The Google notebook for two years would cost $480 - $720! This notebook is heavily reliant on Google Services (unless you hack it) so I was expecting them to go

I kinda thought the same way before I received a pilot CR48. This machine is perfect for couch surfing and emailing. It's super light, doesn't get hot, instant on, and I rarely plug in the charger. It fails miserably when I want to do an

Pretty awesome on my desktop but a little slow. It doesn't work at all on my CR48, just a black screen.

This seems extremely unethical to me. Now that the world knows there is massive exploit in Chrome, there are bound to be more hackers attempting to abuse it - and have a few hints from the video. By blogging about this and not disclosing

I don't see how Flash can be the culprit or solution considering it is sandboxed. Chrome must contain a massive exploit.

"attention-whoring", "troll", "naive", etc. Why are you getting so offensive about this article? I agree that this metric has little value. Quality of apps, average sales per app and exclusives are all more important. However, this is st

It's not scientific but I still think it has value. Two different firms have forecasted a month that they believe the Android app store will overtake the Apple app store in numbers. This metric has value and it's what research firms are p

Hah, we're getting off topic. You're right, phrasing it that way leads to multiple interpretations whether correct incorrect. When I read the title originally, I was thinking "total profit" instead of relative. Whether intentional or not

It can be understood in multiple ways, maybe not intentionally misleading but it could be written better. "My height grew above Yao Ming's last year". Did I surpass his height last year or grow more during that period of time?

I don't think anyone is saying it's a necessity, just arguing the benefits. I seriously doubt it enhances code quality during the trip but the ideas and ways you visualize the problem may be drastically different. I'm guessing it's kind o

Maybe a PS3 botnet would be more powerful, but does it matter? The article itself pointed out two problems (MiTM and DDOS) which would be equally efficient on PS3 or 360. Forget Xbox 360 altogether, if we can break into an update server w

I don't understand the whole botnet fluff. Hackers would first have to create a custom signed image that runs a MiTM attack. Next, they would need to magically break into the Sony update servers and pull a switcheroo without anyone notici

This is a huge stretch. So all a hacker has to do is break into Sony's update servers, create a signed hacked boot loader that automatically starts a MiTM attack on home users? Wouldn't it be easier to break into Google servers and instal

I may be wrong but looking at the code and example data it seems that the Android cache only keeps track of the latest time stamp at a given cell tower so it wouldn't know the frequency of visits in an area. This is definitely a possibilit

I'm guessing you knew that Android has a cache that rolls over prior to posting - were you just trying to stir up discussion/controversy with the misleading headline?

I'm assuming caching cell towers and wifi improves performance. An unlimted cache is a bad thing, a limited cache is a good thing.
