A GraphQL specific state management library can't take the crown from a generic state management library. By the time GarphQL gains "wide adoption" (like REST) we'll be 2+ frameworks past React.

Sure, I'd guess the majority of engineering roles above junior are through networking of some sort. "Surely if you have skills"... well, what % of programmers out there fit this description? It's even weirder to think t

Mozilla made 530M in 2016 - they're a company. Firefox is is a strategical business decision. Their interest in the web is the exact same interest as Google's in the web. $$$.

I disagree - not adapting to the latest language paradigms because you find it more difficult is code smell.

About what, caffeine? There's no difference between drinking a coke or a 30mg caffeine pill except the caffeine pill is better for you.

I had a cancerous mole removed in 2013 (melanoma stage 1a) and my dermatologist basically told me tanning is NOT ok and was never ok. "There is no such thing as a healthy suntan. Any change in your natural skin color is a sign of skin

There are billions of things that have changed this year compared to last year and you're attributing your lack of getting a cold to Vitamin D?

I've had an itch to try GraphQL but after seeing the "doFetchMore()" method here https://github.com/rwieruch/react-graphql-github-apollo/blob... I'm a bit put off.

What are the "clear best practices" for Angular? I'm just starting in Angular 5 and I'm starting down the ngrx path. From what I can tell there's many different ways to structure the project and ngrx is in version

It's not that simple. Higher paid employees who received raises organically or by asking (based off of this article) are less likely to get cut compared to employees who threaten with separate offers.

Really? I've been pretty critical of Bitcoin on /r/bitcoin and haven't been banned.

It's like "machine learning" and every other buzzword. People expect "machine learning" to just solve all the problems in every industry. It's great tech but it has limited use cases.

A lot of people? People continued to buy all the way up to 19.5. The thing about Bitcoin is, almost everyone expected a drop, no one knew when or how high it would go before it dropped... or how far it will drop. Everyone also expected it

The point is that Bitcoin doesn't scale well enough for Amazon. If Amazon chooses a lesser known cryptocurrency or creates their own, Bitcoin will suffer.

So pay the really good developers higher based off of what they deserve to get paid, not where they live. The problem is that there are bad developers who want to live in expensive places and great developers who prefer to live in non-expe

I didn't say that one shouldn't mentor or receive feedback. I actually think if you disagree with the team lead you should let them know and then let them make the decision. If they hear your opinion and still go a different way,
