I was going to make this point, as I do agree. However in a fast paced field such as this, timing is crucial. And all of these papers so far are technically pre-prints on the arxiv.

I think the direct electrical generation is a niche application and most likely a scientific curiosity. The commercial application of space cooling sounds much more exciting as a way of cooling without electricity. It would also be interest
