Apart of the already named reasons (mainly legal): I once actually did it, because I LIKED the applicant. The result was simply lots of follow up mails on how and why I am mistaken. Wouldn't do this again.

This is easier said than done. The one thing all online communities suffer from is you cannot truly perma-ban people on the internet, making moderation a bottomless pit. Only chance you have is basically charging people to sign up, but then

Use dtruss on Mac OS. The dtrace subsystem has become harder to use, though, with system protection active. Supposedly you can get it running again through these tricks https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/208762&#

The biggest codepoint in Unicode fits into 4 bytes of UTF-8. UTF-8 would allow up to 6 bytes, but those codepoints are not in use currently. If they ever become in use, yes, you'd probably need a new character set again. But then a lot

Yeah, this circulates a lot on the internet. I do not know if it EVER worked in any iOS version, but it does not work right now. Which seems logical, as the only thing you're disabling is the use of location services to auto-detect the

With all the people replacing jQuery manually in their projects, you have to wonder whether the summed up costs of everyone running their own replacements is not larger than jQuery itself, once you use 3 or 4 such libraries :D
