In commit messages I use my nick (warp) followed by my e-mail address. The email address is at my own domain, which has my full details (real name, address, phone number) and resume, etc.. Writing code is what I do, and if other coders (or

Do you use the Hot / Sparks feature at all? I also use fever, but that particular aspect of it doesn't seem to work for me -- so I just use it as a regular rss reader.

I really like nose ( http://somethingaboutorange.com/mrl/projects/nose/ ). You can simply run "nosetests" in the root of your project, and it will locate and run your tests. nose will adjust sys.path to make sure your tests can find the pa

My experience is similar, I still use the power brick which came with my first gen macbook (2006?). I do wrap the thin cable around the little hinges when I take it with me.

Zelda Four Swords and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles are examples where local multiplayer was a much better experience because each player had their own screen for the information and tasks which applied only to them, while still having a

I'm not an artist, but as someone buying music online I really like bandcamp. Soundcloud seems more like a github for music to me, a place where musicians and listeners talk and collaborate about music, not a place where users like me would

I still get spam in my inbox regularly. I'm using google postini to do the filtering, in my situation I wouldn't classify it as "quite effective". Are there better alternatives I am not aware of?

That's not entirely true. Whatever article I am reading in instapaper is an article I have visited in a normal webbrowser first, with all their ads in place. Then decided I didn't have time to read it at that moment and clicked the instap

I experimented with listening to internet radio on the commute to work about a year ago. I used about 500Mbyte/month with that setup. The stations I listened to were 128kbyte/s IIRC, so perhaps my usage would be about 1 Gbyte/month now. T
