Thank you very much for the explanation. I think I get the point but remain skeptical. Is knowledge (even a totally man-made subdomain like OS/App) fundamentally scattered in nature, or can be modelled in the scale of 0.1% of the origi

I can't believe this group of incredibly smart people have produced this not-so-impressive paper. Sure, the size of source codes is a big problem. but is LOC the most cost-effective issue to investigate into? Why none of the existing m

I was astonished by how un-safe the road/traffic system really is 8 years ago when I started to learn driving. Just think about it, driving on road is extremely vulnerable: any other driver on the road could make a small mistake to get

My point is less about bribe or lobbying. It's about the mentality. For native Chinese company, the stake is so high that when facing overwhelmingly foreign opportunists they are willing to do anything to survive, faster reaction to us

I try Emacs around once per year. The problem is it's so slow under OSX. It's much faster on my 2007 iMac running Linux than 2013 mbp. I even tried to run it under X-Quartz but still performed poorly. What can I do?

One part of me truly hope Google to success in ML/AI, although I consider Google an evil company. AI, Singularity, they are the most important things in this century. The implication is simply beyond our imagination. I don't care

I think the AR UI in the video is pretty cool. The trouble is, AR itself hasn't taken off. My theory is people really dislike reality. Reality is ugly, it's dirty, and when people operate upon information, they(we) do want abstrac

The big deal of the internet is it connects people. Before AI takes over the planet, or invasion of alien, the most powerful thing is the communication amongst human beings, its implication we have not fully explored.
