IDK, I am not convinced. Apologies if I offended you but this linked article has ~5 citations. Only one in English is from March of 2019 which says: > “I’m not afraid of COVID-19 but what is scary, is the lack of common sense people have

To your point, it was even widely discussed in niche areas like tech blogs and HN. However, much the same way as this hypothesis it was dismissed as a conspiracy theory, widely debunked by “experts” and downplayed. Again, not claiming this

I didn’t know that and would need to see a source. Wuhan is a major city so I just don’t know how many bats (of that specific type) live there. Also heard similar to the below comment that it was quite far away. Also seems they had just mov

I thought I knew virtually nothing about Africa. After reading this funny take I realized I actually know quite a bit of weirdly crafted bizarre misinformation about Africa. Not that you could sum up a continent of a billion people in a boo

Not OP but I do/am. Its actually part of my new years resolution. There seems to be so much racism/race fetishization now. It was not like that growing up for me and I am only a millennial. I don’t have an opinion on the Indian ca

I haven’t formalized my thinking around this so it could be an incomplete and terrible take, but I’m not sure its a problem that some companies have a “terrible” culture. Obviously, there are protected classes and laws, etc. High Level thou

I absolutely doubt this. I think it is extremely likely that Trump is nominated with Desantis. If not, it is expected that Desantis would be front runner. Straw polls do show Nikki Haley as main choice I believe though. Haven’t been followi

I think the explanation is sound maybe (I am not that familiar) but the analogy gets a bit lost when you talk about buckets of houses and buckets of vacant lots. Maybe there is a better analogy or paradigm to view this through.
