Interesting. Although, it doesn't strike me as a scalable business. At least not to the point of justifying such big investment.

Same here. I learned Python out of curiosity, but started using it for real work only after the Google App Engine launched. I hear similar anecdotes from others as well.

You should say a few things about yourself as well, not only the things you want in your co-founder. Try to show why you're a good catch.

The concept itself is actually a good one; it's just named wrong. Had they called it "follow" or "subscribe", or even the old name "become a fan", it would have been much clearer.

Twitter (and the Facebook stream) are both a convenient way to casually follow updates from your friends. To understand the need they fill think of what would be the alternative if they didn't exist. Email, chat, and RSS don't really fill t

Do you monetize newsletters with ads only, or are there other ways? Also, what kind of ads can you use? I don't think AdSense can be used in emails.

+1 I tested a lot of compare utilities for Mac and finally settled on running a virtual box with Windows on it so I can run BeyondCompare. This app looks promising, though. For me, a killer missing feature is the folder compare view.

I like the simple UI. Here are a few ideas that came to mind while trying it: - Ask me to choose a few categories before I start so you can do better news targeting and get me more engaged right from the beginning. - Going through stories n

Their site says: "Qt double-escapes % characters in addresses, meaning those cannot be loaded". That sounds like a major issue, isn't? Using % in a URL is very common.
