Thats fair, and I would question anyone getting all their news from the Daily show or last week tonight. Its incredibly biased. Australia's problem is that our news orgs are corrupt to the core, every journo is afraid to go against Mur

I'm sorry but this is simply not true. Look at a basic case, a single farmer is able to produce enough food for 100 people. There is no need for 99 people to work for there food in this simplistic case. Yes, these people may want iPhon

Depends on your product, model, and demographic. At work our refund rate is like 30% for Japan. Investigating this, it turns out there is a cultural behaviour where converting at a higher rate early and refunding if it's not a good fit

You're forgetting development and marketing costs. If there is a sunk cost component that number skyrockets. Try adding a $5 customer acquisition and $1 developer time. Thats a $1 profit, you need to sell 3 apps to cover the cost of ap

I guess time to live is scope too but I think it's far too often ignored. Scope generally determines feature coverage, not quality or how long we expect to use the system.

I actually prefer a systems lifetime as the 4th dimension. Quality is just a function of the system time to live being fit against the other three constraints. Scope, budget and time. (I'd actually say time is a subset of budget.)

Other than plain object constructs these kinds of functions are unheard of and better handled with a parameter object or array. I can't help but feel if they just set up a clean way to name construct Params for classes this wouldn'

No. There are nearly 8 billion people on this planet. Figure it out. This is a complex problem. Almost all solutions are worth trying. Most of them are going to be required. There does not need to be a winnowing of solutions. We just need t
