I use an old version of iTunes on Windows and haven't found anything better, for the following reasons: 1. It has a taskbar player, which is a tiny strip of media controls which sits in your taskbar. AFAIK the only other player to offe

I have one point which I really feel exemplifies the entire Netflix experience: before you sign up, they do not give you a list of what's available to watch. Seriously, check out their website. It's basically a landing page which

It was obvious to me that Apple doesn't care about developers the moment I learned that they charge a $99 per year fee to open a developer account. I refuse to pay a company so that I can contribute value to their ecosystem.

I can't believe a Cookie Store API has not been officially implemented yet. How can it be 2024 and we're still having to parse a huge ugly string to get a cookie by name?

The regular homepage is super laggy for me. It also doesn't explain what the product actually is . For example, I clicked on "TV shows" and it says: > Just search for your favorites > You type in the name of the TV sho

Their online store is pretty bad. The page just says "6 pack" without specifying any weights or bag sizes. The image carousel also didn't stop when I clicked on a thumbnail to read more. Oh and the pasta is grotesquely overpr

I have no idea how inflation works - what happens if you're an average Turkish person who had, say, 1000 lira in their bank account 10 years ago? If that 1000 lira used to be able to buy you 100 meals at 10 lira each, and now the same

How much data is Gizmodo harvesting from you when you read this article? uBlock Origin shows 16 domains connected; most of them loading JavaScript. The real number is probably far higher when no ad-blocker is used.

When did Ars Technica start splitting articles into multiple pages? I thought that stupid trend died out 10 years ago. It just results in me abandoning the article on page 1.

There's such a beautiful irony in reading about unfettered data mining on a website (theverge.com) which connects to *37* third-party domains when displaying the article: 1. ak.sail-horizon.com 2. amazon-adsystem.com 3. api.parsely.com
