No it's not pointless, language is important. Cars are not runners. "For all intents and purposes" is a cop out here. We're talking about LLMs, you know language learning models.

Most business communications should be done in email. You want an easily searchable trail, and email lends itself very nicely to communication that doesn't have to immediately be resolved. For everything else casual, people use whateve

That is pretty much the case, but I'm always taken back by how many people believe intelligence = directly replicating human thought. I thought the common consensus was instead that (artificial) intelligence was instead about mimicking

Does that even matter when they still aren't being hired? Hiring statistics for those with disabilities are really horrible. We still hold biases about what makes one "productive" that stem from our very early hunter gatherer

Wow they were really serious about trying to make this approachable for beginners, cat sketches and all. And what better way to test that method than to release it to fortnite fans and seeing where/if they hit a wall.

Cashiers, already replaced by self scanners, fewer and fewer of them are found in stores, even if you do get hired as a cashier you usually make horrible hours now. Food preparation is another one hit huge by automation, where it's bec

That is one of the common outcomes talked about. Certainly nothing more stable right now than being an Electrician or Machinist! I will say though, that for a lot of those jobs human-replicating robotics isn't even necessary. We exagge

I'm not sure this works out in the long run. We're currently using extremely generalized tools here, it's difficult for it to establish any "reasoning" when it does not have a "history" to rely on so to sp

Even those places that do have their own website (as opposed to just relying on Facebook Pages and Google's information sidebar), they just use Squarespace or Shopify. Shopify in particular has also been incorporating a lot of AI into

Do you genuinely believe machines can't handle most of those jobs with ease? The only reason why they haven't already been replaced is because humans can be exceptionally cheap. Much easier to hire somebody to sit at a desk for $1

Copy paste is easily detected and removed. Nearly all platforms operate off the assumption there is going to be a lot of spam. They do not have a single tool to deal with decent text generation.

The idea that you will have to train specifically on "AI skills" is so silly it's almost comedic. You are still going to have to be a "good" writer/programmer/etc, but when anybody is able to easily imitat

I don't know. Part of why we anthropomorphize so much is because we can still feel the physical elements. We pet a dog, we live inside our homes, list goes on. When that is not possible, how does this change people and their valuation

Feel free to replace Next with another framework if that's more you're liking. Same benefits apply. I'm not so sure experts of JS would avoid TS just because they're experts in JS. The opposite even, being experts they k

Nextjs (and its contemporaries) work really well with .NET. Toss in your API calls into Next, write a beautiful front end, and now you've got separate front end and back end that works phenomenally together and can be tested separately

Artists get into trouble all the time for producing works very close to something that already exist. That's like the number one reason artists get shunned in the communities they were in.
