I’ve noticed a lot of projects use riscv64 as shorthand for the rv64gc ISA, especially when it’s understood that there is an MMU, maybe an FPU, privilege levels, and any other extensions that a modern OS requires. Anyway, I did find this on

Yes it is common in the gaming industry. That is not a good thing nor a justification for it happening elsewhere.

It's an interesting thought, but that seems like a huge gamble just to provide an opening to make moves that may or may not pay off. I would think things would have to be pretty bleak for a risk like that to make sense.

Emacs shortcuts are universal in macOS and much more convenient than home/end/delete/etc in my opinion.

The staff use these to communicate. There’s no intercoms so this is how they know when to open more registers, come to the front of the store, etc. Don’t ring the bells, they will not appreciate it. Source: past TJs employee
