Yeah, my personal opinion is that modules are dead on arrival, but I won't waste my time arguing with C++ enthusiasts on that.

Have you also tried KDbg, and if so, what's the reason for picking seer over KDbg?

May I recommend this episode of The Stand Up podcast with Ryan Fleury as guest, who is the driving force behind the rad debugger. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-3gEsfEm0g Casey also makes a good point here on why printf-

Semi-related question: how invasive is the Temu App on Google Play Store nowadays. Last time I read about it, it posed a bigger threat to users than the average side-loaded app.

SDL is very relevant. Not just on PC, also on consoles as ports for all modern consoles are available to platform disclosed developers. (See READMEs in SDL repository.) Calling SDL outdated / irrelevant is definitely an overstatement d

First, I am not proposing anything. I feel like we are already past the point where influential people have to play by the same rules as everyone else. I dislike this as much as 99% of the population, but I don't realistically see a re

I think this got blown up right now due to how accessible it was. However, I think it's clear that Pandora's box is now wide open and that you cannot close it. Sure, you can turn off that Grok integration, but the AI image generat

The introduction of hamburger menus broken many of the Alt+Letter shortcut workflows. Even to this day, GNOME applications are hard to fully control via keyboard. I'll never understand how this can be deemed acceptable from an accessib

I am wondering whether this would actually be a helpful compile option in upstream rustc for quick prototyping. I don't want prod code to use this, but if I want to try things out during development, this could substantially shorten th

My first coding experience was through the StarCraft 1 map editor. It offered a text-snippet-based scripting system to build rudimentary logic. It was relatively easy to pick up thanks to its documentation and localization. After that, I pl

This was a relatively old project that used a C program as build system / meta generator. All you needed was a working C compiler (and your shell to execute the first line). From there, it built and ran a program that generated various

I was talking in general. It's less about screenshots and screen recording, but more about drag-and-drop and global hotkeys like push-to-talk in Discord.

I'd say it's completely irresponsible to not have such features, claiming it's about security, rather than implementing it behind a permission system that puts the end-user in charge.

For situations like this, I prefer a generational index where the lookup fails if the object has been destroyed. For context, the "manager" that holds the objects referred to typically has a lifetime of the whole program.

When such a library is used in production code, that's on the person who chose to use it in production, not on the original author of the library. You are responsible for the code you ship, doesn't matter whether it's written
