   "time sink" is also how i would describe CF templates and wrappers like SAM. I'd be grateful if you could elaborate on the CDK issues. I'm also curious to know how many people in this thread consider themselves developer

   This is an accurate description of my experience also: - trial & error - leave it alone - don't add stuff I don't use babel or webpack and have many examples of "working" configs, but none of it adds up to a reproduc
