Glock did crazy deals early on, letting US police departments trade-in their existing used guns from other makers for new Glocks at minimal or no cost. Glock could afford to do it because Glocks are cheap to make due to the brilliantly simp

DKIM == Domain Keys Identified Mail, i.e. a mechanism so that email can prove it comes from the domain that it claims to come from. (I can't be the only person here who has never heard of this acronym before.)

Easy to indentify because it's all of them. Not everyone burns out at every company and some people really do switch for a better opportunity, but burnout is very common and is everywhere.

The article actually doesn’t tell the true horror of the situation which is this: Companies burn out employees and then deal with the consequences by firing them or bullying them into quitting. Employees lie about how their last job ended a

Stefan, if you are reading, dude, this nasty hostile approach will ruin your life. Nobody cares if you are right when you act like this. Be nice, submit patches, become a hero.

Some companies (e.g. Amazon) have a policy to fire the lowest performing x percent every year, even if the whole team is good, which makes churn inevitable. It also leads to odd situations like hiring low quality talent just to provide the

After growing up in central London, Silicon Valley was awesome. No more waiting for the bus, just drive everywhere, parking is easy, everywhere is safe. If you live in downtown Mountain View or Sunnyvale you can walk down the street to pub

22,000 downloads of a free app at launch is no big deal. It's free and he's having to pay for hosting for the backend. I can stand on the corner and give away dollar bills too.

That cheap Canon 50mm lens is great. I use a Canon 5D mk something and carry a 28mm, a 50mm, and a 100mm, all of them ƒ/2.0 or 1.8. For a lot of shots I want the specific look of ƒ/2.0 on a decent prime lens. I don't actuall
